Floorworld Commercial (Floorworld’s commercial division) is looking for a Junior Interior Designer with a passion for design and a basic understanding of social media. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who wants to grow in both interior design and marketing, gaining hands-on experience in design projects while assisting with social media content related to commercial flooring solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Interior Design Support
Creating mood boards, concept presentations, and material selections for commercial flooring projects.
Support the design studio, ensuring samples, swatches, and presentations are well-organized and up-to-date.
Work with sales team to develop client presentations and proposals.
Research design trends, materials, and new flooring applications.
Assist in site visits, design consultations, and project documentation.
Social Media & Content Creation
Help curate and create design-focused social media content showcasing flooring trends, materials, and project highlights.
Assist in taking and editing photos/videos for Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Use Canva or similar tools to create basic graphics and visuals for social media posts.
Support in organizing Lunch & Learn events, design workshops, and client engagement activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, or other design software.
Passion for design, materials, and aesthetic details.
Familiarity with social media platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok) and willingness to learn content creation.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Eagerness to learn and grow in both interior design and digital marketing.
