Job Title: Sales Engineer – IT Hardware
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer with a strong background in IT hardware to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling IT hardware solutions, understanding technical customer requirements, providing product recommendations, and delivering top-tier customer service. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen, ensuring the delivery of the best solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients to increase sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
Understand customer needs and provide tailored IT hardware solutions to meet those needs.
Regularly follow up with clients to ensure successful product implementation and resolve any issues.
Sales & Business Development:
Drive sales of IT hardware products (e.g., servers, storage devices, networking equipment, workstations, etc.) through various channels.
Present and demonstrate IT hardware products to potential clients, highlighting key features, advantages, and technical specifications.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotes to prospective clients.
Identify new business opportunities and drive lead generation efforts.
Technical Support and Consultation:
Provide pre-sales technical support to customers, helping them understand how products will integrate into their existing IT infrastructure.
Work with technical teams to customize solutions and ensure they meet client specifications.
Assist clients with product configurations and troubleshooting technical concerns during the sales process.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Stay up to date on the latest IT hardware products, trends, and industry developments to advise customers effectively.
Conduct product demonstrations, trainings, and webinars for customers to enhance product knowledge.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with marketing, engineering, and support teams to deliver the best solutions and customer experience.
Provide feedback from clients regarding product performance and market trends.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
Track and report sales activity, pipeline status, and performance against targets.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and help plan the sales strategy in alignment with company goals.
Contract & Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Work with finance and legal teams to ensure all contract details are compliant and met.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the IT hardware industry.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT hardware products (e.g., servers, storage devices, networking equipment) and the ability to explain their benefits and technical specifications.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office tools.
Strong negotiation, closing, and presentation skills.
Ability to handle objections, identify pain points, and provide solutions.
Goal-oriented and driven to meet sales targets.
Should have Bachelor degree.
