Role Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lubricants blending and packaging plant. This role ensures that production runs efficiently, safely, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards and meeting delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, particularly within the lubricants, chemical, or FMCG industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Execution:
Develop, implement, and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production schedules to meet business targets and customer demand.
Operations Management:
Supervise blending, filling, and packaging lines to ensure continuous and efficient workflow while minimizing downtime.Work closely with the Quality Control and Laboratory teams to ensure that all products meet internal and external quality standards and specifications (API, ISO, OEM standards).Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Lead, train, and evaluate production staff and supervisors. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and development.Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure timely preventive maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns to avoid production delays.Ensure optimal use of raw materials and packaging supplies. Monitor stock levels in coordination with the supply chain department.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to senior management, including KPIs such as output, yield, efficiency, and downtime.
