What you will do:
Dishwashing & Cleaning:
Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, equipment, pots, pans, and dishes.
Ensure that all dishes and kitchenware are cleaned to a high standard and returned to their appropriate storage areas.
Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are maintained and cleaned.
Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, and surfaces regularly, following hygiene and safety protocols.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, storage areas, and food prep areas.
Regularly inspect kitchen equipment for cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues to the Kitchen Manager or Supervisor.
Dispose of waste in the correct manner and ensure the garbage bins are emptied regularly.
Ensure that all cleaning chemicals and supplies are stored safely.
Assistance with Food Preparation:
Assist with basic food prep tasks as instructed by chefs, such as peeling vegetables, cutting, and washing ingredients.
Help with the preparation of garnishes or other small tasks during busy periods, as required by the kitchen team.
Prepare ingredients for the chefs and ensure they are ready for cooking.
Stock Control & Inventory Management:
Help with the organization of kitchen supplies, ensuring that items are properly stored and rotated.
Assist in receiving deliveries and checking the stock for quality and accuracy.
Ensure that kitchen supplies are restocked as needed, alerting the supervisor to any shortages.
Safety & Hygiene Standards:
Follow strict hygiene standards, including regular hand washing, sanitizing work surfaces, and ensuring food safety at all times.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are adhered to, including the proper handling of kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies.
Adhere to proper food handling procedures, especially when dealing with raw ingredients or perishables.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management Or Equivalent Degree
Minimum 6 months to one year of experience
