Safety Officer (Joinery & Interior Fit-Out)
About the Role
Store Motion LLC is looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to oversee Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance across our joinery manufacturing facility and interior fit-out project sites. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and hands-on experience in joinery production, carpentry workshops, and interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and project safety requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments in the joinery factory and project sites.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee safety awareness programs.
- Conduct safety induction training for all new employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and take corrective action for non-compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency response drills, first aid, and fire safety activities.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and safe storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Factory Supervisors to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, permits, and statutory records.
- Identify hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices during installation, fabrication, lifting operations, and machine operation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience as a Safety Officer in Joinery, Interior Fit-Out, or Construction.
- Mandatory experience in both joinery factory operations and interior fit-out project sites.
- Should be well-versed with ISO Audits.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- IOSH certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
- UAE Driving Licence is preferred.
