Job description:
AL GHURAIR CONTRACTING & ENGINEERING WORKS LLC (AGCEW) is currently looking for:
SAFETY OFFICER with SARS CARD
Key Responsibilities
- Having at least 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in the construction industry with Professional certifications as Safety Officer.
- Trakhees-approved Certification and a valid SARS (Safety Advisor Registration Scheme) card is REQUIRED.
- Site Inspections: Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure PPE compliance.
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems, regulatory policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Carry out risk assessments for new projects, ensuring the safety measures are properly implemented.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on safe working practices, emergency response procedures, and the importance of environmental responsibility.
- Investigate any accidents or near-misses and ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
