About the Role
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety policies on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Location: The project location will depend on the project requirements and may be in any region across Saudi Arabia.
Minimum Experience: 5 years
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports.
- Provide safety training and awareness sessions to employees and workers.
- Monitor subcontractors’ activities to ensure adherence to safety requirements.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for safety compliance.
- Coordinate with project management and relevant authorities on safety matters.
- Maintain emergency procedures and ensure preparedness (fire drills, evacuation plans, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- Certification in health and safety management diploma or bachelors.
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- HSE Certificate IOSH or OSHA , Nebosh
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections and assessments.
- Proficient in preparing reports and documentation.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
