Description
We are seeking experienced Safety Inspectors (HSE) to join the supervision consultancy team for a large-scale infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah
. The selected candidates will assist in monitoring site activities and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all construction works.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections to ensure compliance with approved HSE procedures and project safety requirements.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure safe execution of construction works.
- Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and report them to the Safety Engineer and project management team.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers on site.
- Monitor construction activities related to road networks and multi-utility infrastructure
, including:- Potable water networks
- Firefighting systems
- Gas distribution systems
- Stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems
- Power distribution (MV & LV)
- Street lighting and telecom infrastructure
- Irrigation and landscape works
- Assist in conducting toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions
. - Support investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses and maintain safety records.
- Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments, and HSE plans
. - Maintain site safety reports, inspection records, and documentation
.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
. - Minimum 7 years of experience in construction health and safety for infrastructure projects.
- Experience in roads and multi-utility infrastructure works
. - Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms in a supervision capacity is preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction safety procedures and HSE standards
. - Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
