Job Summary
Responsible for managing environmental and safety operations during the construction phase. This includes environmental impact assessments, waste and pollution control, ISO certification coordination, and overall compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Management – Plant Operation & EIA Permit
- Review KSA and KAEC regulations for environmental impact assessments
- Coordinate with local consulting firms and government agencies (e.g., NCEC) for permits
- Manage environmental compliance during equipment installation and commissioning
- Waste Management – Non-hazardous, Hazardous & Recyclable Waste
- Oversee waste management processes in automotive manufacturing
- Manage 3rd-party waste vendors (selection, contracts, performance)
- Conduct internal audits and training for proper waste handling procedures
- Air Pollution Control (RTO System)
- Operate and monitor air pollution control systems (focus on RTO in paint shop)
- Ensure system performance, monitor emissions, and maintain air quality compliance
- Water & Wastewater Management
- Monitor influent/effluent quality, manage chemical dosing
- Coordinate lab testing and submit reports to local water authorities
- Construction Safety Management
- Develop and deliver safety training for employees and contractors
- Conduct risk assessments (RA) and maintain documentation
- Provide safety guidelines to subcontractors
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards
- ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 – New Factory
- Lead ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 45001 OH&S certification and audit activities
- Ensure compliance with KAEC environmental and safety regulations
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits
- Provide ISO-related training across departments
Job Specificity
Experience in environmental impact assessments and safety during the construction phase
Strong knowledge in safety, health, environment, and fire protection
Requirements
Experience:
At least 2–5 years of experience in the construction field (preferably including paint shop)
Experience with RTO, WWTP, waste handling, and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Other:
Strong initiative with a positive, can-do attitude
Language:
English: Proficient
Arabic: Preferred
