The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.Conducts safety reviews, provides engineering support, and ensures compliance with safety standards for KJO projects and operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Applies approved division policies, processes, and procedures.
- Monitors adherence to ensure work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Day-to-Day Operations
- Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the division to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
Safety Reviews and Recommendations
- Participate in safety studies and reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, etc., contributing to the identification of hazards and risk mitigation measures.
- Follow up on the implementation of safety recommendations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Engineering Support
- Provide engineering support for KJO projects by conducting safety reviews and ensuring adherence to safety standards and codes.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures and best practices into design and operational plans.
Drills and Awareness
- Coordinate and participate in safety drills, simulations, and awareness sessions to enhance safety preparedness and promote a safety culture.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety practices, emergency response, and hazard identification.
Safety Permit Audits
- Audit safety permits and method statements, ensuring compliance with safety standards and permit-to-work procedures.
- Conduct audits of the permit-to-work system to identify gaps and ensure proper implementation.
Risk Management Support
- Support the Loss Prevention Department in risk management activities, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the development and improvement of safety management systems and procedures.
Reporting
- Prepare division reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and section requirements, policies, and standards.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably expected, forming part of the function of the post.
