Safety and Environment Manager Jobs in Doha, Qatar at A Leading Heavy Industry Company in Qatar
Lead, advise, support and promote Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management, while providing awareness, measuring, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe workplace, targeting 0% accidents in the Plant and connected accommodations and Offices.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage HSE initiatives within the organization.
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
Conduct safety training and orientation for new and existing staff.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical departments to promote a safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related Engineering field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in the Health, Safety and Environment field within heavy industry (oil & gas, steel, cement, ready mix) or construction, with 5 years at the managerial level.
In-depth knowledge of IOSH, NEBOSH, OSHA international HSE codes and standards.
Professional HSE certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, and/or accreditations from recognized Health and Safety Standards organizations.
Audit qualification background and inspection experience with ISO/IOSH/NEBOSH Standards.
Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills to lead the HSE team.
Excellent training skills to deliver safety training and orientation.
Membership in IOSH and/or accredited occupational associations is an asset.
