Role Description The Rope Access Spider role is a full-time, on-site position based in Al Rayyan, Qatar. The role involves performing high-level window and façade cleaning, maintenance support, and inspections using rope access techniques in accordance with safety standards and company procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up rope access equipment, conducting pre-work safety checks, and safely accessing building exteriors and other elevated structures. The Rope Access Spider will clean glass surfaces, façades, and hard-to-reach areas, report any observed defects or damage, and support minor maintenance tasks where required. The role also includes maintaining equipment in good working condition, following risk assessments and method statements, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Rope Access skills, including safe rigging, descent, and maneuvering techniques.
- Candidates should possess Working at Height / Work at Height skills, with proven ability to follow safety protocols and use fall protection systems.
- Candidates should possess Window Cleaning skills, particularly for high-rise and façade cleaning using professional tools and methods.
- Candidates should possess Inspection skills for identifying defects, safety hazards, and maintenance needs on building exteriors and access equipment.
- Relevant rope access certification (e.g., IRATA or equivalent) and working-at-height training are highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in rope access, façade cleaning, or high-rise maintenance within facilities management is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements, with good communication skills in English.
- Physical fitness, strong awareness of safety, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are required.
