We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Roll Profiler to operate and monitor roll forming machinery in our steel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the roll profiling machine, ensuring accurate production as per specifications, monitoring product quality, performing basic machine adjustments, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate the roll-forming/profiling section of the steel tube mill safely and efficiently.
2. Set and adjust forming rolls according to the approved product specification and production requirements.
3. Ensure correct positioning and alignment of forming rolls.
4. Monitor and inspection the roller of strip entry, forming sequence, tube shape, and dimensional stability during production.
5. Maintain the required tube profile, diameter, width, height, and other specified dimensions in Roller
6. Make appropriate operational adjustments to achieve consistent tube quality Dimensional Gauge wise
7. Assist with roll changes and product changeovers according to the production schedule.
8. Check roll condition, roll identification, and roll sequence before installation.
9. Coordinate with the welding, sizing, cutting, and finishing sections as require.
10. Ability to check and rework of rotating support equipment
11. Check roll condition, roll identification, and roll sequence before installation. Ensure correct roll gap, alignment, and positioning.
12. Report damaged, worn, or incorrectly sized rolls to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Department.
13. Monitor forming rolls, shafts, bearings, guides, and drive systems for abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, or wear.
14. Capable to maintain the lathe machine working smoothly, during operation and non operation time
15. Ensure guards and safety devices are in place before operating the equipment.
16. Prevent damage to rolls and other mill components through proper operation.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· High School / Secondary School education; ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Technical field is preferred.
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Roll Profiler, Roll Forming Machine Operator, or similar role in a steel manufacturing environment.
· Experience in operating and setting up roll forming/profile machines.
· Basic knowledge of steel materials, measurements, dimensions, and technical drawings.
· Ability to monitor product quality and make basic machine adjustments.
· Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
· Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
