Ahmed Jassim Al Gawahmed Engineering Consultancy is a leading engineering consultancy specializing in infrastructure, transportation, urban development, and construction supervision. We are seeking an experienced Road Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise road construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor earthworks, grading, pavement construction, asphalt works, curbstones, sidewalks, road markings, and associated infrastructure.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and construction schedules.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable local regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility providers, and government authorities.
- Conduct site inspections and witness field and laboratory testing.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Review contractor payment applications, technical submittals, and variation orders.
- Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements.
- Attend coordination meetings and resolve technical issues during construction.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in road and infrastructure construction or supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Eastern Province Municipality (Amana) regulations, standards, approval procedures, and road design requirements is mandatory.
- Thorough understanding of the Saudi Building Code (SBC), MOMRAH regulations, and other applicable Saudi standards related to road and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in roadworks including earthworks, pavement, asphalt, curbstones, sidewalks, drainage, and traffic-related infrastructure.
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Strong technical reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
- Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with engineering consultancy firms.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience coordinating with government authorities and utility providers.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
