🎯 What You'll Do
- Lifting Operations & Planning: Develop, review, and approve comprehensive lifting plans for heavy lifts and complex rigging operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Technical Design & Drawing: Utilize drawing software, including AutoCAD, to prepare detailed rigging drawings, lift studies, and equipment layouts to support lifting plans and ensure optimal execution.
- Equipment Selection & Optimization: Advise on the selection of appropriate lifting equipment, rigging gear, and accessories based on load characteristics, site conditions, and lifting plan requirements.
- Site Supervision & Execution Support: Provide technical supervision and guidance during lifting operations, ensuring strict adherence to approved plans and safety procedures. Conduct pre-lift briefings and risk assessments.
- Compliance & Safety Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to local and international lifting standards, client requirements, and company safety policies throughout all rigging activities.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve technical challenges related to rigging and lifting, ensuring minimal delays and optimal operational performance.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, inspection reports, and as-built documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, external contractors, and safety officers to ensure integrated project delivery and successful, safe lifting operations.
🧑💻 What We're Looking For
- Extensive Experience: 6-10 years of progressive hands-on experience in rigging engineering, heavy lifting, and lifting plan preparation within the construction industry, with significant exposure to power plant projects.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of heavy lifting methodologies, rigging techniques, various crane types, and relevant international lifting standards and regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven hands-on experience with developing complex lifting plans and strong proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing and design. Knowledge of other lifting analysis software is a plus.
- Technical Acumen: Strong grasp of mechanical engineering principles, load calculations, stress analysis, and structural integrity as applied to lifting operations.
- Problem-Solving Excellence: Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in planning and execution.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in rigging or lifting are highly valued.
