Review & Objections Senior Specialist Jobs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority
Jobholders at this level are capable of operating with minimal supervision. They work within guidelines and procedures to prepare more complex, specialized, or ad hoc reports related to their field. They undertake operational activities, including assisting in developing ZATCA’s objections and appeals strategy by consolidating and analyzing historical data from previous cases. The job holder contributes to the completion of milestones or operational targets within the assigned functional area.
Job Responsibilities
Tax Cases Planning
Receive litigation cases from the audit team and support prioritization based on pre-defined criteria.
Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and policies for each case.
Tax Cases Assessment
Coordinate with stakeholders and gather documents for high-level legal assessments.
Assist in analyzing cases and provide basic recommendations based on technical input from tax appeals analysts.
Objections and Appeals Management
Receive objections, coordinate with analysts, and escalate complex issues.
Assist in preparing objections and appeals files, gather assessments, recommendations, and supporting documents for review.
Prepare case documents, participate in negotiations, and draft communications to taxpayers.
Highlight lessons learned and areas for improvement based on case reviews.
Organization and Operations
Follow policies and procedures to ensure consistent work quality.
Support in solving escalated problems and assist junior staff.
Escalate complex issues as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
People Management
Train junior staff and support their development.
Provide clear directions, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow.
Communication and Contacts
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law Studies, or equivalent is required.
