A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Revenue & E-commerce Manager to join the management team at Grand Mercure Hotel Business Bay. This role is pivotal in establishing the hotel as a market leader in Dubai’s competitive hospitality sector.
Based in the heart of Dubai’s business district, this position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for driving top-line revenue across all streams—including Rooms, F&B, MICE, Spa, and ancillary services. You will spearhead the hotel’s revenue strategy, pricing, and distribution while optimizing the digital footprint to capture the high-value Dubai market. As part of the Accor family, you will be expected to leverage global tools, maintain brand integrity, and champion the "Augmented Hospitality" approach.
Job Description
- Play an active role in Strategic Planning, Marketing Plan, and budgeting processes. Challenge the status quo to ensure profitability and long-term commercial success.
- Prepare the annual top-line budget (covering Rooms, F&B, MICE, Spa, and other ancillaries) and track achievement. Lead accurate forecasting using historical data, market trends, and demand analysis.
- Monitor transient and group book pace to determine optimal pricing and availability controls. Maximize performance through rigorous inventory, pricing, and distribution strategy.
- Track and analyze competitive set pricing, yield strategies, and digital presence. Predict competitor reactions to marketplace changes to gain a strategic edge.
- Liaise with Sales, Marketing, Front Desk, and Reservations to ensure revenue management principles are understood and adopted across all departments. Provide training on upselling, negotiating, and yield techniques.
- Maintain and improve rate standards, policies, and procedures using Accor’s preferred systems (Opera Cloud, IDeaS, OLS, TARS, and GDS).
- Design, plan, and activate the annual Digital Yearly Plan and budget covering all levers (Direct website, SEO, SEA, Meta, emailing, and social media). Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to craft effective and engaging offers.
- Leverage Dubai’s unique e-commerce ecosystem by utilizing local and regional platforms (e.g., Noon, Talabat, regional OTAs, and local influencers) alongside global channels to maximize visibility and conversion.
- Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals. Analyze ROI on campaigns and adjust strategy to capitalize on high-demand periods like Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) and Gulf holidays.
- Manage the hotel’s online reputation across Google, TripAdvisor, and OTAs. Develop strategies to maintain a high guest satisfaction score (GSS) and respond to market sentiment.
- Handle email marketing (using third-party tools) for Rooms, F&B, and outlets. Explore social commerce opportunities to drive direct bookings and impulse sales.
- Ensure all revenue and e-commerce strategies align with Accor’s commercial guidelines, rate parity, and brand standards (specifically the "Grand Mercure" upscale ethos).
- Maximize the use of Accor’s global platforms, including ALL – Accor Live Limitless (loyalty program), to drive member acquisition and retention. Implement corporate campaigns and ensure the hotel’s visibility on Accor’s global distribution network.
- Utilize and optimize Accor’s Central Reservations System (CRS), Property Management Systems (Opera Cloud), and Revenue Management Systems (IDeaS) to ensure seamless data flow and strategic decision-making.
- Participate in Accor’s regional commercial meetings, share best practices, and contribute to the Middle East & Africa cluster performance.
Your Experience & Skills Include:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive revenue management experience is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within a luxury or upscale hotel setting. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the UAE or broader Middle East region. Previous employment with Accor Hotels is considered a distinct advantage.
- In-depth understanding of the Dubai hospitality market, including seasonality, key drivers (business travel, leisure, MICE), and competitive landscape.
- Strong proficiency in Opera Cloud, IDeaS Revenue Management Software, Channel Managers, GDS, and Central Reservations Systems.
- Deep understanding of current digital marketing concepts (SEO, SEM, Meta, Google Ads, Social Media Marketing) and best practices. Familiarity with Dubai’s digital ecosystem is a major plus.
- Strong numerical reasoning, analytical approach, and strategic thinking. Ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
- A proven team leader who inspires and mentors revenue, reservations, and sales teams. Ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Composed and confident in dealing with luxury clientele and high-profile stakeholders.
- Fluent in English. Arabic or other languages are a plus.
Pay: AED10,000.00 – AED12,000.00 per month
