Provides legal counsel and adviceto the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel with regard to maritime and offshore commercial, corporateand transactional matters as and when required or assigned,including joint ventures, investments, mergers, acquisitions,incorporations, dissolutions and liquidations. Additionally,assists to advise on disputes relating to suchmatters.
Drafts, reviews, interprets and amendslegal opinions, agreements, letters, memos, submissions and anyother relevant documents related to the business, projects ortransactions related to maritime and offshore matters for ADNOCL&S.Assists the the General Counsel,Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel in providing thelegal functions of ADNOC L&S particularly in developmentand implementation of common legal practices and joint strategies.
Attends internal ADNOC L&S committeesand meetings, as and when required.
Assistswith external legal counsel services related relevant contractualadvice, contract disputes, including review of external legalcounsel work product, preparation of request for proposals andinstructing external legal counsel.
Coordinateswith the Corporate Governance Department on corporate governancematters related to contracts andtransactions.
Coordinates with the Compliance Department on compliance matters related to contracts andtransactions.
Provides legal advice andservices to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel to ensure that its maritime and offshorecommercial and corporate activities are conducted in compliancewith applicable law and regulations.
Assists inadvising on all ADNOC L&S disputes (whether in court,arbitration or other form of dispute resolution) relating tomaritime and offshore contracts .Performsother similar duties as assigned by the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor ’s Degree in Law.
At least 5 years of relevant experiencepreferably in top international law / consultancy firms and/orlocal or international blue-chip corporate/s. Ideally some relevantin-house experience
Experience in Shipping/Maritime/Logistics industry.
Excellent English language (written andspoken). Key Skills Legal
