Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Central Inn Souq Waqif Hotel in Doha, Qatar. This role oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing the dining room and bar area, supervising team members, and ensuring high standards of food and beverage service. The Restaurant Manager plans staff schedules, leads pre-service briefings, monitors service quality, and responds to guest feedback to maintain strong customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating with the kitchen team, managing inventory and ordering, overseeing cash handling and POS processes, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. The role also involves hiring, training, and coaching staff, implementing service standards, supporting marketing or promotional activities, and analyzing performance metrics to improve revenue and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong customer focus with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, and the ability to handle guest feedback professionally.
- Experience in Hiring, including interviewing, onboarding, and coaching team members for restaurant operations.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with guests, coordinating with kitchen and hotel teams, and guiding front-of-house staff.
- Solid Food & Beverage knowledge, including menu understanding, service standards, and basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hotel food and beverage management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Ability to manage schedules, oversee shifts, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and POS platforms; experience with inventory and order management is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
