Overall Job Objective
To warmly welcome restaurant guests, manage table reservations and waiting lists efficiently, and allocate guests to tables in a manner that ensures guest comfort and does not overwhelm the service staff.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcoming and Farewell: Greet guests with a smile upon entry and bid them farewell upon departure.
- Reservation Management: Record and organize advance reservations via phone or online booking applications.
- Waiting List Organization: Manage waiting lists intelligently and determine estimated wait times for guests.
- Guest Escorting: Lead guests to their tables and present them with menus.
- Table Allocation: Distribute guests among service sections equitably to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitoring the Dining Area: Observe occupied tables and coordinate with cleaning staff to prepare tables promptly.
- Handling Requests: Respond to guest inquiries regarding the menu, ingredients, and available services.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and entrance area at all times.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Education: High school diploma as a minimum (a college degree in hospitality is a plus).
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in the restaurant or hospitality sector.
- Languages: Excellent communication skills in Arabic, with a good command of English for interaction with tourists.
- Appearance: Full adherence to the restaurant’s official dress code and hygiene standards.
