Overview
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join the delivery team on a prestigious, architecturally iconic project in Dubai
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior site professional with a proven track record of delivering landmark developments from construction through to completion. The successful candidate will oversee site execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on internationally recognised projects such as major airports, museums, signature towers, transport hubs, or other architecturally significant developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Resident Engineer and primary site representative throughout the construction phase.
- Lead and manage the supervision team, ensuring works are executed in accordance with the approved design, specifications, programme, and quality standards.
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, client representatives, and key project stakeholders.
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to maintain programme delivery.
- Review and approve contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, inspections, and material approvals.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, local regulations, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior project leadership.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resolve technical and construction-related issues efficiently while maintaining project objectives.
- Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or chartership would be advantageous.
- Extensive experience as a Resident Engineer on major building projects within the Middle East.
- Proven delivery of large-scale, architecturally complex or iconic developments.
- Strong site supervision and construction management expertise.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of international construction standards, quality systems, and HSE requirements.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly Desirable Project Experience
Candidates with experience delivering one or more of the following types of projects will be particularly well suited:
- Landmark mixed-use developments
- Signature high-rise towers
- Major international airports
- Iconic museums and cultural buildings
- Metro stations and transport hubs
- Convention or exhibition centre's
- Large-scale hospitality developments Government or civic landmark buildings
Examples of relevant landmark project experience include internationally recognised developments such as:
- Burj Khalifa
- Museum of the Future
- Dubai International Airport
- Louvre Abu Dhabi

- Bahrain World Trade Center
