Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in industrial projects to join our engineering consultancy team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site execution, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations while coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all site activities related to industrial construction projects.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and relevant standards.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of site supervision staff, inspectors, and discipline engineers.
- Review and approve contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and mitigation measures.
- Conduct regular site meetings with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, quality control, and HSE requirements.
- Review and certify progress reports, payment applications, and variation requests.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering guidance to the project team.
- Ensure project documentation and records are maintained in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Liaise with local authorities and relevant agencies as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in construction supervision and project execution.
- Proven experience on industrial projects within engineering consultancy environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, quality management, and project controls.
- Familiarity with UAE regulations, industry standards, and authority requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex project interfaces.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management/reporting tools.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to 2 weeks will be preferred.
