Research & Development Manager

Our client is a progressive organization investing in innovation, product development, and continuous improvement as key drivers of its future growth. To support these objectives, the company is seeking an experienced Research & Development Manager who can lead technical innovation while bringing new ideas from concept to commercialization.

The Role

The Research & Development Manager will lead the organization’s research and development function, overseeing innovation projects, product development initiatives, and technical research activities. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will drive innovation while ensuring commercial viability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organization’s research and development strategy.
• Lead new product development from concept through commercialization.
• Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and project portfolios.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry innovations.
• Coordinate cross-functional product development teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
• Lead product testing, validation, and performance evaluation.
• Manage intellectual property and innovation initiatives.
• Build relationships with suppliers, research institutions, and technical partners.
• Develop and mentor R&D professionals.
• Present innovation strategies and project updates to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement across product development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
• 10+ years of R&D experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience managing innovation and product development projects.
• Strong project management and technical leadership capabilities.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluency in English is required.
