Job Description
The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Associate in the area of biopolymer and bicomposites. The Research Associate should be knowledgeable of material preparation, fabrication and Characterization of biomass, biopolymer and biofilm for food packaging applications. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in both, Material Science and Food science and have a Master/PhD degree in related field.
Minimum Qualification
An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following: • Skilled in Material science/Food Science • Ability to fabricate and characterize composites and biofilm • Good technical writing skills and good Publication records • Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role
Preferred Qualification
- a PhD degree with Material science/Food Science background • Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab • Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands • Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
