The College of Engineering and Technology invites applications for faculty positions in Marine Engineering at the ranks of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will contribute to research involving material preparation and characterization of quantum materials, including transition metal dichalcogenides, superconductors, and two-dimensional ferromagnets. The role emphasizes investigating phase transitions influenced by external parameters, with particular focus on materials relevant to energy applications such as superconductors and magnetic materials. The candidate will lead efforts to identify new materials and develop innovative methods to enhance superconducting performance, utilizing advanced laboratory equipment.
Collaboration with local and international researchers and stakeholders will be integral to advancing the project’s goals.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Material Science and Engineering, or related disciplines from a reputable university. Candidates should demonstrate scholarly achievements and a strong research record. Experience with material characterization equipment is essential.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
