Job Description
To provide support for executing the research project in accordance with standard procedures, by participating in the administration and monitoring of research activities of the project.
- Carry out experiments according to the specified protocols
- Organize the data, and prepare graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Request and acquire consumables required for the research activities
- Prepare progress reports
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Assist in preparing proposals for competitive grants
- Assist in writing manuscripts and preparing presentations for dissemination of research findings
- Oversee the work of Undergraduate and Masters students engaged in the project
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry, Bio/medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualification
Master Degree in Biochemistry, Bio/medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy from an accredited institution
Expected Skills
- Hands-on experience in metabolomics, preferably using LC-MS/MS
- Handling of biospecimens and sample preparation using standardized protocols
- Quantitative and qualitative data analytical skills
- Core and specialized academic and research competencies
- Good organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- Team-working skills
