Main Role (Overall accountability):
Support the public markets business by
Undertaking research through financial analysis
Providing analytical & documentation support
Undertaking client support activities
Principal Accountabilities:
Support in Management of Portfolios
Assist in identifying investments and analyzing investment opportunities
Assist in screening, undertaking research, financial modeling etc. in pursuit of new investments/products
Assist in monitoring of existing investments and performance
Assist in investment reporting/ investor updates based on product/ regulatory requirements
Be updated on markets, regulations, politics, and any other matter which might have impact on the client’s investments
Dealing with back-office
Handling audit requirements
Ensure the maintenance of due records of all investment management activities
Provide support to raise AUM
New product initiatives – product idea generation
Maintaining formal and informal channels with clients to raise AUM
Monthly update of marketing material for client engagements
Research support:
Research on defined universe of companies – quarterly updates, Management calls/meetings and review of stocks, updating for stock/market information, identify new stocks, prepare reports on new stocks.
Compliance with the governance framework
Monitor compliance with all the internal and external guidelines with the mandates managed
Personnel Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Omani national
Finance Professional with around 2-3 years of experience in research.
