Background
The chilled water automatic dosing system located in the chilled water pump room at Basement 01 has been identified as defective. The dosing pump is not functioning and is not in its proper operating position, and the dosing pump panel requires inspection and verification. The absence of a functioning dosing system is negatively impacting the chilled water pipeline. Without proper chemical dosing, internal corrosion may develop within the pipework, potentially leading to pipeline damage or failure.
The issue is also affecting the accuracy of chilled water chemical testing results. Additionally, compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations is at risk, as chemical treatment of chilled water systems is a mandatory requirement.
Scope of Work
- Inspection of the chemical dosing pumps and dosing control panel to identify the nature and extent of all defects and assess the condition of all associated components.
- Repair of the dosing pumps and control panel where components are found to be serviceable, restoring the system to its proper operating condition and position.
- Replacement of any dosing pump or component found to be beyond repair with a new unit supplied to the required specification.
- Calibration of the complete dosing system following repair or replacement to ensure accurate and consistent chemical dosing levels within the chilled water pipeline.
- Verification of system operation and chemical dosing accuracy upon completion to confirm full reinstatement of the automatic dosing function.
- Final inspection and handover with documentation confirming the system is operating in compliance with Dubai Municipality regulatory requirements.
