Renewable Energy Specialist (Installation)
JOB PURPOSE
The role holder is responsible for supporting the installation, integration, and operation of renewable energy systems within the electrical network. The role ensures technical compliance, system performance, and adherence to industry standards for renewable energy projects.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports integration of renewable energy solutions into existing electrical systems and utility networks.
Oversees installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV, wind, and other renewable energy systems.
Ensures renewable energy installations comply with applicable standards, regulations, and grid connection requirements.
Provides advanced troubleshooting and technical support for renewable energy systems.
Supports design review, planning, and feasibility assessments for renewable energy projects.
Coordinates with Contractors, CONTRACTORs, and utility stakeholders during project implementation.
Reviews system performance, identifies improvement opportunities, and supports optimization initiatives.
Prepares technical reports, commissioning records, and performance evaluations.
Mentors engineers and technicians involved in renewable energy installations.
Ensures compliance with ISO systems, environmental requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.
Supports sustainability initiatives and renewable energy integration programs.
Performs any other duties assigned by senior management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Qualifications / Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related
field.
Professional certification in solar PV system design, installation, testing, and commissioning from a recognized institution, covering applicable IEC and British Standards for photovoltaic systems and electrical installations, or their internationally recognized equivalents.
Experience
Minimum 13+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy systems and installations.
Key Skills
Experience with grid-connected renewable systems and net/gross metering.
Strong knowledge of renewable energy standards, regulations, and
technologies.
Advanced troubleshooting and project coordination skills.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.

Combination of site-based work, project coordination, and technical review activities.
