- Performing routine antenatal checks and identifying any risks to the mother or infant.
- Monitoring and administering medication, injections and intravenous infusions during labour.
- Perform assessments and examinations, collect samples for laboratory testing, and order or administer medications
- Monitor patients for any issues of concern, make referrals to specialists or other medical practitioners, and arrange for hospital care if needed
- Provide assistance and support through the delivery process and provide care to both the patient and the infant immediately following childbirth.
