Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain machinery: timely completion of PPM and CM works, ensuring the team completes work diligently and as per maintenance checklists.
- Receive work order updates from technicians of all shifts, update the CMMS with resource name, labor hours, spare parts and tools used, and close out the work order.
- Run the plant and equipment efficiently with minimum downtime.
- Recommend critical spare parts to the Senior Engineer for purchase.
- Supervise contractors under AMC, plan PPM activities, and coordinate timely rectification of breakdowns.
- Review contractors’ work completion, approve or reject based on work quality.
- Teach, guide, and mentor technicians on best practices and work management.
- Manage duty roster, ensuring staff are assigned duties per their strengths and weaknesses.
Requirements
- Good communication in English, both spoken and written.
- Focus on delivering objectives of tasks/jobs assignments with minimal supervision.
- Capable of reading electrical, refrigeration, piping drawings, identifying critical spare parts.
- Approachable, exhibits a positive and welcoming attitude.
- Ensures respect & professionalism in all interactions.
- Has a high degree of knowledge on industrial refrigeration processes.
Job Specification Education
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Refrigeration.
Technical Skills
- High level of knowledge of industry standards.
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
- Deep knowledge of refrigeration systems:
Ammonia screw compressors, evaporative condensers, glycol centrifugal pumps, compressed air systems, snow making systems.
Industry Experience
12 years working experience in GCC, either in Snow Parks or as an engineer in OEM companies of refrigeration machines.
Management Skills
Should be able to independently handle assigned work and lead the team to success.
Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
Personal Qualities
- Team-Player.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effectively manage time and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Self-motivated, interpersonal, initiative, analytical thinking, decision-making abilities.
Technology Skills
Proficient in use of SCADA.
Language Skills
English language proficiency is a must, Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
Communication Skills
Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
