Job Title: Cloud Ops/AWS Administrator

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Ops/AWS Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support cloud deployments, implement best practices, and troubleshoot issues to enable seamless operation of our cloud-based applications and services.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
– Implement monitoring, automation, and scaling solutions to maintain performance and availability.
– Collaborate with software engineering and data science teams to deploy applications and machine learning models in the cloud environment.
– Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, incidents, and outages as they arise.
– Design and implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
– Develop and maintain cloud governance policies, including security and compliance measures.
– Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies, exploring opportunities to enhance our cloud strategy.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– 5 years of experience as a Cloud Ops/AWS Administrator or in a related role.
– AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator) is a MUST.
– Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
– Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of tasks and infrastructure management.
– Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices for cloud application deployments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
– Solid understanding of network security principles and cloud security best practices.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with Kubernetes or Docker for container orchestration.
– Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).
– Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
