Position: Recreation Experience Expert – Pool Attendant
Job Overview
As a Recreation Assistant at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, you will provide information and assistance to guests regarding all recreation activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities facilitated on the property.
- Provide guests with information about available recreation facilities (pools, beach, entertainment zone/game‑room, fitness center, child activities center).
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities.
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere and enforce rules and regulations for safety and welfare.
- Observe activities, respond appropriately to emergencies per local operating procedures.
- Provide cashier services for facilities with point‑of‑sales transactions.
- Assist during private functions hosted within recreation facilities, including group activities and events.
- Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate and inform supervisors or managers.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
- Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and professional appearance; uphold confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and comply with quality assurance expectations.
- Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
- Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, and reaching up to 25 pounds; use manual skills; navigate confined and uneven spaces.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required Qualifications
- CPR Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
- Recreation equipment training or knowledge.
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
