Job Description
As a Recreation Attendant, you are responsible for providing warm, engaging, authentic, and personalized service to all guests who use the facility.
What you will be doing:
- Actively engage with guests and assist in all guests’ needs, including issuing towels, issuing chaise lounge covers, and assisting in chaise lounge and cabana set-up.
- Pick up and remove used towels and debris from the pool deck areas throughout the day.
- Provide unique experiences to all guests through warm, personal, and detailed service in a luxury, upscale, fast‑paced environment.
- Ensure a positive first impression of the pool for guests through detailed cleanliness, set‑up, and ambiance control.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all wellness and recreation services, activities, amenities, and hotel services/features.
- Up‑sell and promote wellness and recreation offers whenever possible to maximize sales revenue.
- Perform opening and closing side duties as assigned and set the pool according to standards and procedures.
- Be well‑versed in hotel fire, life‑safety, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the management of the hotel.
Qualifications
- At least one year’s experience as a recreation attendant.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and facilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Availability to carry out any assignments as delegated by the department manager.
