You’ll be working with a friendly, motivated team whom you will recruit and lead with your distinctive style and work with them to develop their full potential and ensure everyone provides genuine heartfelt care to our guests.
Role and Responsibilities
Ensure that all goods received are properly supported by valid hotel purchase orders.
Examine both quality and quantity of goods received in coordination with related departments before accepting the delivery.
Ensure that goods are promptly moved to store or concerned department once received.
Ensure that outgoing goods are properly documented and accounted for.
Closely monitor with Purchaser all pending or partial deliveries.
Responsible for recording and distributing reports as per hotel policies and procedures, such as duly signed individual receiving record, receiving report, etc.
Coordinate with the purchasing department regarding delivery issues.
Stamp all invoices and delivery notes with the receiving stamp and complete all applicable sections of the receiving stamp.
Complete receiving report for all materials arriving at the hotel, ensuring all are backed up by properly completed and authorized market list, purchase request, or other order.
Notify concerned department heads of arriving materials so that items may be removed promptly from the receiving area.
Check the price extension and total charge of all handwritten and typed invoices. Attach calculator add-tape to each handwritten receipt as proof of verification.
Bring all outstanding deliveries and purchase orders to the Purchasing Manager daily.
This can be a physical role, and although there are the usual meetings, briefings, and reports to run, you will need to be on your feet some of the day out and about in the hotel, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. You will need to speak English for this specific role, and while it would be great if you were multi-lingual, it’s not essential just yet.
