Service Centre Supervisor – Smartphone Repair & Refurbishment
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Service Centre Supervisor to lead our smartphone refurbishment and repair operations, specifically focusing on iPhones up to the 15 Pro Max. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in smartphone repair, team management skills, and a deep understanding of the refurbishment process. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality repairs, managing technician workflows, and optimizing daily and weekly repair/refurbishment capacities.
Key Responsibilities:1. Service Centre Operations & Technical Supervision:
Supervise and coordinate daily repair and refurbishment operations for iPhones.
Ensure all repairs, from screen replacements to motherboard-level fixes, are executed with high precision.
Monitor and maintain the daily and weekly repair/refurbishment targets.
Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues when required.
2. Team Leadership & Training:
Manage a team of technicians and quality control staff, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to improve repair skills.
Conduct performance evaluations and ensure adherence to service quality standards.
3. Inventory & Parts Management:
Track and maintain stock levels for spare parts, tools, and consumables.
Ensure efficient usage of parts and minimize wastage.
Coordinate with procurement to source high-quality spare parts at competitive prices.
4. Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure strict quality checks on all refurbished and repaired devices before delivery.
Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high service quality.
Handle customer escalations and technical inquiries as needed.
5. Workflow Optimization & Reporting:
Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and optimize repair processes.
Utilize Advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking repair performance.
Generate weekly and monthly reports on repair/refurbishment volumes, technician productivity, and efficiency.
Key Requirements:Technical Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in smartphone repair and refurbishment, with a focus on Apple iPhones (up to iPhone 15 Pro Max).
Strong hands-on experience in component-level repairs, including:
Screen & battery replacements
Water damage repair
Face ID & True Tone restoration
Motherboard-level repairs (IC replacements, micro soldering, BGA rework, etc.)
Software troubleshooting, iOS flashing, and unlocking
Excellent understanding of iPhone diagnostic tools and repair software.
Strong knowledge of processing workflows in a refurbishment business.
Leadership & Management Skills:
Proven experience managing a team of technicians in a repair/refurbishment environment.
Ability to set targets, track performance, and drive efficiency.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle technician escalations.
Analytical & Reporting Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis, Workflow Tracking).
Ability to analyze repair trends and optimize workflows.
Experience in creating reports for management on repair/refurbishment performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in smartphone repair (e.g., Apple Certified Technician, IPC certification) is a plus.
Experience with automated refurbishment machines (laser machines, OCA laminators, ultrasonic cleaners) is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP or repair ticketing systems for service tracking.
