Job Overview:
The Draughtsman in Interior Design is responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and plans that are essential for the successful execution of interior design projects. This role requires expertise in AutoCAD or other relevant design software, a deep understanding of interior design principles, and collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Create Detailed Drawings: Develop comprehensive technical drawings, layouts, and plans based on interior designers’ concepts and client requirements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to translate design concepts into technical drawings, resolving any design or technical issues that arise during the planning process.
Review and Revise Drawings: Ensure all technical drawings meet industry standards and regulations, including reviewing designs for compliance with building codes and interior design specifications.
Site Visits: Conduct on-site inspections as needed to measure spaces, verify dimensions, and ensure that drawings reflect real-world conditions.
Coordination with Contractors: Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are feasible and can be executed effectively.
Material and Fixture Specification: Assist in selecting appropriate materials, fixtures, and finishes based on the interior design brief, providing technical drawings and specifications as required.
Document Control: Manage and maintain accurate records of all drawings and revisions, ensuring version control throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a draughtsman in the interior design or architectural industry.
Software Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant 3D modeling and rendering software.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and building codes.
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings with excellent attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving design and technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED3,500.00 per month
