Role And Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret radiological images to diagnose diseases, injuries, and medical conditions.
- Provide detailed reports to referring physicians with clear findings and recommendations.
- Ensure accuracy in diagnosis and minimize errors in imaging interpretations.
- Correlate imaging results with clinical findings to aid in comprehensive patient management.
- Ensure patient safety by following radiation protection protocols and minimizing exposure.
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and address any concerns regarding safety or discomfort.
- Monitor and assess the quality of imaging studies to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
- Assist in emergency cases by providing immediate interpretations for urgent conditions.
- Perform image-guided procedures such as biopsies, angiographies, and drainages.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other specialists in minimally invasive treatments.
- Ensure proper patient preparation and post-procedure care.
- Work closely with other physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.
- Provide expert guidance on imaging modalities and the most effective diagnostic approaches.
- Ensure imaging equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Work with radiologic technologists to optimize imaging protocols for better results.
- Adhere to local and international medical regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping of all imaging reports.
- Participate in audits and quality control programs to maintain high diagnostic standards.
- Engage in ongoing medical education and training to stay updated with the latest radiology advancements.
- Conduct or participate in research projects to improve diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Train and mentor junior radiologists and radiology residents.
- Ensure compliance with Qatars MOPH regulations, policies, and professional standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance nursing skills and stay updated.
- Any other task as assigned by management on a time-to-time basis as per the organization’s needs.
