Job Responsibilities
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Radiation Therapist  DHA eligibility is a MUST;
Those without DHA eligibility need not apply. Â Deliver the dose according to the RT treatment plan. Â Confirm the location of regions of interest to be scanned. Â Demonstrate safe practices in producing immobilization devices. Â Assess patients for side effects and refer them to the concerned radiation oncologist. Â Investigate and problem-solve patient treatment-related issues, including
critical thinking
skills. Â Select all equipment parameters required for image acquisition and check compliance with procedures.
Mark reference points for further imaging and treatment on the patient’s body/immobilization/positioning devices. Â Competent in mould room work such as making electron cut-outs and bolus, taking into account safe working practices. Â Select appropriate immobilization devices for the area to be treated, including making masks for Head and Neck treatments. Â Maintain QA procedures for treatment plans, such as weekly chart checks, treatment reviews, and treatment approval checks.
