We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our fäm Interiors team! As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of fit-out projects by managing costs, estimating budgets, and overseeing financial aspects. Your expertise in cost analysis, procurement, and project management will contribute to our company’s growth and reputation for excellence in interior fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Manage the overall project costs based on the given BOQ. Analyze and compare cost data to provide cost-saving recommendations.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets throughout the construction process. Identify and report any budget variances and implement corrective actions.
Procurement: Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive bids and negotiate contracts. Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Quantity Take-offs: Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BoQ) for various fit-out elements. Maintain accurate records of all quantities and cost data.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide proactive solutions to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with all contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to explore value engineering opportunities without compromising quality. Propose alternative materials or construction methods to enhance cost-effectiveness.
Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, cost forecasts, and progress reports to project stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project financial documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery. Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For:
Hold a bachelor’s degree/higher diploma in civil/mechanical/industrial/materials engineering or quantity surveying.
Minimum 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying preferably in Interior fit out business
The ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.
