Job Description – Quantity Surveyor (Mid-Level, 5 Years’ Experience)
Specialization: Landscaping & Swimming Pool Projects
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and prepare detailed cost and damage assessment reports for landscaping and swimming pool projects.
- Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents specific to landscaping and swimming pool works.
- Request, evaluate, and compare quotations, samples, proforma invoices, and tax invoices from suppliers and subcontractors in line with project specifications.
- Assist the procurement team in budgeting, cost forecasting, and project-wise procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors for landscaping and pool works.
- Evaluate subcontractor claims, variations, and prepare cost reports to maintain budgetary control.
- Support the finance team by preparing profitability, cashflow analysis and cost analysis reports for landscaping and swimming pool projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager or Senior Management.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience in landscaping and swimming pool projects in the UAE
- Comprehensive understanding of detailed drawings for both landscaping and pools is essential
- Strong knowledge of landscape materials, swimming pool construction methods, and MEP elements related to pools.
- Strong written reporting skills
- Understanding of Authority approvals and requirements
- Experience in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous Middle East experience is essential
- Recent experience on luxury residential projects is highly desirable.
- Candidates will need to be highly organized and have document control experience
- Driving License preferable
