Fibrixa is a leading engineering and manufacturing company specializing in GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete), GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), and architectural façade solutions. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of experience who have a strong foundation in estimation, quantity take-offs, and project costing. Candidates with prior experience in GRC and GRP projects will be given high preference.
Job Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, and supporting the tendering process. The successful candidate will work closely with the estimation, engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate project costing and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and project quotations.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to obtain pricing and technical inputs.
- Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations for cost optimization.
- Prepare material quantity calculations and cost breakdowns.
- Support the tendering and bidding process with accurate estimation data.
- Monitor project costs and assist in budget tracking throughout project execution.
- Maintain estimation records, BOQs, and project documentation.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimation Engineer.
- Experience in estimation, quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis.
- Experience in GRC and GRP projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and project costing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and other estimation tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GRC, GRP, façade, precast, or construction projects.
- Knowledge of UAE construction standards and tendering procedures.
- Exposure to project budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimation tasks.
