Quantity Surveyor (Electrical / Mechanical)
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience as QS in Mechanical/ Electrical
Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / QS Degree
Availability: Immediate or Early Joiners preferred
Role Summary
Responsible for complete quantity measurement, BOQ preparation, cost control, variation management, and commercial support across Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting scopes for fit‑out and FM projects.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP quantity take‑offs from IFC, shop drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Electrical scope: lighting, power, DBs, cable trays, containment, SLDs, load schedules.
- Mechanical scope: ducting, piping, valves, pumps, FCUs, AHUs, plumbing & drainage networks.
- Develop and update BOQs, cost estimates, and material consumption sheets for all MEP systems.
- Review and validate supplier/subcontractor quotations with techno‑commercial comparison sheets.
- Prepare monthly valuations, interim payment applications, and cost monitoring reports.
- Identify, prepare, and justify variations for both electrical and mechanical works.
- Conduct site verification, progress measurement, and material reconciliation.
- Support procurement with MEP material specifications, vendor evaluations, and cost benchmarks.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA, DM, DCD, and project MEP standards.
- Assist in contract administration, subcontractor billing, and certification.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years QS experience in MEP Fit‑Out / HVAC / Electrical / Plumbing.
- Strong understanding of MEP drawings, authority standards, and material specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS measurement tools.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and negotiation skills.
- UAE experience preferred; immediate or early availability is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial fit‑out or FM MEP projects.
- Knowledge of heat load calculations, pump head calculations, SLDs, and MEP coordination.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and speed.
