Project Management Consultancy
Based in Doha, Qatar
Our client is a Project Management Consultancy with an excellent strong hold on the local market in Doha. Due to continued expansion due to the buoyancy of the local market, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Doha.
The successful candidate will provide cost and commercial advice on a range of projects, including hospitality, residential, leisure and large scale mixed-use.
Responsibilities will include the following:
To draw up bills of quantities for projects in order to facilitate progress valuation.
Cost control and to contribute to the overseeing of the schedule of works to be completed in order to ensure alignment with budget and contractual agreements.
Project Budget & Cost Update Preparation
Bill of Quantities Preparation
Project Risk Identification
Project Work Measurement and Valuation
Payment Applications
Variation Evaluations
Team Management
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or relevant related discipline
Accreditation by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or similar professional body is advantageous.
Possess a good grounding in Quantity Surveying (minimum of 10 years’ for the Senior QS level position and a minimum of 7 years for QS level positions)
Have experience in both pre and post contract administration
Proven track record working with well reputed international Cost / Engineering Consultancies
Previous experience working in the UAE / GCC is essential
Excellent systems and business process controls.
Estimating, pricing reviewing and detailed contract administration experience
Desired experience with bill of quantities, target cost and lump sum bid price projects.
You must have excellent commercial acumen, communication and interpersonal skills.
