Job description
Review tender documents and analyze project scope and requirements.
Respond to tender queries and clarifications.
Prepares full project BOQ nominate potential subcontractors and suppliers.
Evaluate subcontractors/suppliers quotations with respect to offered price, qualifications, scope of work and compliance to project requirement.
Prepares vetting sheets and provide analysis of collected quotations and recommendation.
Quantity take-off of tender drawings and design sketches as required Post Contract.
Prepares Monthly Cost Report including cashflow and forecast to completion, commercial section of Monthly Progress Report to Client.
Responsible for Change Management and ensure recovery of contractual entitlements, daily update of VO logs, captures all potential variations and claims, pricing of variations and agreement of variation cost with Cost Consultants.
Responsible for ensuring timely payment application, certification and prompt payment as per the timelines in the contract.
Responsible for proper planning and undertaking procurement of sub-contract works, includes negotiating prices and payment terms, preparation of subcontract/supply agreement.
Subcontract management – recommends payments in accordance with progress of works, review of variation and claims, contra-charges, ensure insurances and bonds are valid, recommends final account.
Prepare contractual correspondences for main contract and subcontract.
Provide practical advice and contribute resolutions to commercial and contractual issues, attends meetings.
Monitoring and managing risks, change and overall project cost control to ensure agreed budgets are not exceeded.
Accurate reporting of project financial performance.
Administering main contracts and sub-contracts throughout the works.
Able to look at the costs of the project and analyze them against the market potential to see if the project is feasible and look for improvements.
Education & experience
Engineer’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with the analytical and problem solving skills to reach realistic workable solutions
Well-versed in all FIDIC editions, including 2017
Minimum 04 years experience as QS in Dubai.
