Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, quantity take-offs, tender preparation, contract administration, cost control, and project financial reporting. The role requires close coordination with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered within budget and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost estimates.
- Review tender documents and prepare tender submissions.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
- Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change orders.
- Review and certify subcontractor invoices and payment applications.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and industry standards.
- Prepare monthly commercial and cost reports for management.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams on commercial matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Experience with variations, claims, and final account preparation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
