We are partnering with a global investment fund, who are a key player in the region managing substantial assets. This position within their market products team offers a
unique opportunity
for a professional to play a pivotal role in optimising the activity of the country’s exchange and contributing to the development of strategic plans for the fund.
What the job involves
Utilise and maintain the high-frequency model for monitoring the Qatar exchange, analysing bid-offer spreads, turnover, and relevant market indicators
Work towards improving overall market liquidity by developing and implementing strategies for the optimal contribution of public market trades
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of equity trading mechanics, exploring options for connecting to an equity exchange
Apply expertise to analyse, modify, and enhance the Hedge Fund model, collaborating with the technology team for the seamless integration of programming solutions
Who we are looking for
Candidates with a strong understanding of equity trading mechanics and programming skills in C++, Python, Visual Studio, and/or C#, used in the current Hedge Fund model
Relevant backgrounds include quants with experience in market making/market products and expertise from banks, custodians, exchanges, or market-making clearing houses
Those with experience as an (ETF) trader, sales trader, or derivative trader/programmer with programming proficiency would be highly valued
Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Arabic is advantageous
Educational background of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
