Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer role based in Dubai. The QA/QC Engineer will oversee and implement project quality plans, ensuring compliance with company standards, client specifications, and relevant codes for civil, structural, and MEP works. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting inspections and tests on materials and workmanship, monitoring construction activities, issuing non-conformance reports, and following up on corrective and preventive actions. The role involves preparing and maintaining quality documentation, coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and consultants, and supporting internal and external audits. The QA/QC Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promote a culture of quality on site, and ensure that all work is completed safely and in line with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Quality Assurance Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain the quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control processes and recommend improvements as necessary.

·      Documentation and Record Keeping:

Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, test plans, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Ensure all documentation is up to date and accessible for review.

·      Inspections and Testing:

Conduct regular site inspections to verify that construction processes and materials comply with quality standards and project specifications.

Coordinate and oversee material testing, including concrete strength, soil compaction, and welding inspections.

·      Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure quality standards are achieved throughout all phases of the construction process.

Communicate quality-related issues and discrepancies to project management and provide solutions or corrective actions.

·      Training and Development:

Provide quality training and awareness sessions for site staff and other stakeholders to ensure understanding of quality procedures and expectations.

Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices in quality assurance and construction quality management.

·      Compliance and Audits:

Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulations.

Prepare for third-party audits and inspections and address any findings or recommendations.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

·      Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry (minimum 3 to 5 years preferred).

·      Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality assurance concepts.

·      Familiarity with relevant quality standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI standards, etc.).

·      Proficiency in quality inspection tools and software.

·      Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·      Professional certifications (e.g., CQI, CQA, or similar) are a plus.
