Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the full Quality Management System (QMS) across the company’s manufacturing facilities. This role ensures full compliance with local regulatory authorities and international standards, while driving operational excellence, product quality, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing processes. The role also acts as the primary representative of the organization before regulatory bodies and certification entities, ensuring successful audits, licensing, and adherence to all compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing sites.
- Represent the company before regulatory authorities (e.g., SFDA, Ministry of Industry, SASO, MODON, Environmental Compliance Authorities, etc.).
- Oversee external and internal audits, ensuring successful certification and compliance with:
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22716
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Manage and maintain all factory licenses and regulatory approvals, ensuring timely renewals.
- Establish and maintain a centralized SOP system covering all departments (Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Warehousing, HSE, Laboratories, etc.).
- Ensure strict document control and compliance across policies, procedures, and records.
- Oversee Batch Manufacturing & Packaging Records (BMPR/BPR) lifecycle management.
- Lead digital transformation and automation initiatives for quality and operational processes in coordination with IT.
- Manage Deviation, Change Control, and CAPA systems, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Oversee customer complaints and product recall processes, ensuring compliance and preventive action implementation.
- Lead risk management frameworks from a quality perspective and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure calibration systems and process validation are effectively implemented.
- Manage supplier qualification and evaluation systems in alignment with quality and production requirements.
- Oversee GMP and compliance training programs across the organization.
- Manage pest control systems across factories and warehouses.
- Build, lead, and develop the Quality team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in:
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22716
- GMP regulations, especially within cosmetics and fragrance manufacturing
- Proven experience working with regulatory authorities (e.g., SFDA, Ministry of Industry, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in managing audits, certifications, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in automation and digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
