We are seeking a highly skilled QS & Estimation Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender evaluations to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for Oil & Gas construction projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs and verify project costs in coordination with the engineering team.
Evaluate vendor quotations, material costs, and subcontractor pricing for cost-effective project execution.
Perform cost analysis and risk assessments to optimize project budgets.
Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with cost estimates.
Prepare progress reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure cost-effective execution.
Assist in contract negotiations and pricing strategies for tenders and bids.
Ensure compliance with UAE industry standards, Oil & Gas regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
6 to 8 years of experience in QS and estimation, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, tendering processes, and contract management.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, and other estimation software.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Previous experience in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
